Notary Appointment in Istanbul

Some documents can be handled without leaving home. Others have to be signed in person before a notary. If yours is one of them, a little preparation turns the visit into a short, uneventful one.

What has to be signed in person

Powers of attorney, affidavits and consent letters are signed by the person making them, in front of the notary. They cannot be done online. Read more in our guides to power of attorney in Turkey for foreigners and affidavits and consent letters.

Other services can run remotely. For documents that qualify, our E-Apostille service works without a visit.

How to book

Office visits are by appointment only. Message us through the website, by email or on WhatsApp. We don't take phone calls and we can't see walk-ins, so please arrange your time with us first. Appointments are during working hours, 9am to 5pm.

When you message us, tell us three things so we can plan the visit properly: what the document is, which country or office it is for, and whether it needs a translation or an apostille afterwards.

What to bring

What happens after the signing

If the document is going abroad and the receiving office needs it in another language, the route is a sworn translation, notarization of the translation, and then the apostille, or legalization for non-member countries. We handle those steps for you. See Apostille or Consular Legalization? if you aren't sure which one applies to your destination.
